What's Happening For The Holidays

Although 2020 has been a crazy year, Christ the King Manor wants to make this the best Christmas possible for our residents. We have many ways you can help spread the holiday cheer to the residents at Christ the King Manor.

First, this Friday, we are holding out Drive-Through Light Up Night where many residents will be looking out their windows waiting to see the many cars come through in celebration of Christmas. The event is from 6:00pm-8:00pm. blessing and lighting of the tree is at 6:15. There are many new parking spots that will allow you to hear and see the blessing and lighting of the tree. Many employee volunteers will be readily available to help guide you in the right direction.

Second, we want family members, community members, and organizations to be able to help our residents celebrate Christmas by decorating their window/lawn areas. If you are willing to provide the decorations, we ask that you call our receptionist to volunteer to decorate one of our resident’s windows. You will be assigned a window and time (to allow social distancing) and ask that you make these reservations by December 4 at 5:00pm. If you are not a family member decorating your loved one’s room, you will be provided with instructions on where your window is when you call. We only request you put up items that are easily removed. You may use command hooks to hang things from the windows or window clings. Yard decorations are fun too such as solar lights, bird feeders. Please do not use paint on the windows. Use your creative imagination and know that while you are decorating our residents will be watching from inside enjoying every minute! We will be taking down the decorations after January 2, 2021. If you put something up that you wish to keep after the holidays please remove it by that date, otherwise, we will assume it is a donation for future use.
